What if I don’t know anything about circus?

That’s okay! Cirq-U is where you come to learn, which means that no experience is required. Each class is tailored to each student’s skill and fitness level so there is no need to worry about your ability.

What should I bring?

A water bottle & a good attitude!

 

What do I wear?!

It is highly recommended that you wear fitted athletic clothing, preferably clothes that will cover the back of your knees such as leggings or joggers. Please try to avoid wearing anything that could grab or snag onto the equipment. Please try to avoid: Very loose fitted clothing, zippers, dangling jewelry, or watches; we especially do not recommend wearing jeans!

 

What exactly should I expect?

Each 101 class will cycle between different apparatus so you’ll get to try out various circus skills to find what you like best. After you have decided on what you like, we will work with you to develop a focus for you to work on.

COVID Updates and Guidelines

Your safety will always be important to us.  Thus, we are keeping in direct contact with Cabarrus Health and following (and exceeding) all government standards.  This includes:

• Removal of the parent/spectating waiting area.  There is seating outside and in the vestibule, however, we are requesting that parents and guardians drop off their children and return at the end of class for pick-up

• Equipment is located 6+ feet apart and is sanitized between students 

• Students showing signs of illness will not be permitted to attend class

• Instructors will wear masks, students can wear masks at their own discretion, however, as circus activity involves exertion and elevated

Cancellations

Please call or message if you can't make it to class that you've reserved. A "no show" fee of $10 will be applied if you do not notify us in advance.
